Hi Jolene; Hope all is well. Sorry I am a month late but here are some pics from Chinook's 4th birthday party on April 20, 2012. He is still a 150lb bundle of joy who is still high energy and we love him so. The first pic is him looking thru the bannister rail waiting for me to come home from work at the top of the stairs. The rest are of him playing in the yard and during his birthday party. Hope your crew are all doing well. I have referred you to many people and I hope a few followed up on it. Hi Jolene; Hope all is well. With Chinook turning 3 next week, I thought I would send a few pics of my big boy. He is 141 lbs now and is pulling my 185lb nephew on our scooter which he loves to do. Hi Jolene; We took Chinook to the vet to get weighed this morning (we were curious too). He weighs 123lbs. The vet says he is in perfect shape, not lean and not overweight. He says he will fill out and bulk up between 2-2.5 years old. Does that sound right to you? He did want to know where we got him from and I gave him your name and address. He just loves how he is always smiling and so friendly with people and other dogs. We feed him 2 cups of Premium Edge salmon, potatoes, and veggies with a cup of Fiber One cereal in the morning and 2 cups of dog food with a can of no salt string beans or no salt peas and carrots in the afternoon. He had diarrhea issues the first year and the vet we use to use kept masking it with drugs but not correcting the problem. We changed to this new vet who was familiar with mals and he said they need extra fiber in their diets, not drugs, and this worked out great. Chinook has never once had an accident in the house and he is inside all day while we are at work. As a puppy, we tried to crate train him and he hated it and would go in the crate almost immediately, but never in the house, so the crate training stopped after 2 weeks. (He trained us pretty good) We are at a fenced in dog park of about 300 acres several times a week and he and Shelby just play constantly with the other dogs. He is always the star with the other dog owners. They just love to watch him sprint and play. We have a scooter that is a skateboard with a bicycle wheel in the front and 2 small atv wheels in the back. We hook Chinook up to his harness and he pulls us down the street at ridiculous speeds. He just loves it and it is fun to watch the neighbors faces or the cars pull over to just watch him pull. A little dangerous right now with ice on the sidewalks but when the weather breaks I will take some pics of my wife on the scooter with him and send them along. Have a good New Year! Hi Jolene; Merry Xmas and Happy New Year! Thought you might like to see some pics of my happy Mal and his roommate we rescued. Chinook has turned out to be the best dog we have ever owned. Shelby is a half German Shepherd, half Black Lab and they get along great. We go to the dog park several times a week and Chinook is usually the biggest guy there. He never starts any trouble and when other dogs start going at one another he trots over to investigate and they all stop immediately. He is like the cop patrolling the park. His energy is incredible, he is like the energizer bunny when outside. Hope all is well and business is good for you during these tough times. Have a great 2010. Chinook says hi. Happy holidays! That is me with him on my lap that my daughter took plus another with him visiting with the neighborhood boys over the fence.
