Here are some more pics of Duke in our Snow Packed Mountains in Colorado!

He is doing well, had a little accident on a construction site and cut his toe but, it is is healing just fine and you can really tell by looking at it. He is weighing in at not even 90lbs., but he is healthy and he certainly doesn't look less than 90. He loves to lay in the snow.

He weighs between 96 and 99lbs on average. He eats tons.....He is on the small side.

Hi Jolene-
Duke is growing up and starting to look like a big dog now. He had great reviews at camp, he plays all to well with the other dogs. He didn't have time out at all.

We are working on commands off leash so we can be trained in Colorado while hiking. Don't worry he won't be walked off leash until I judge he can be trusted. I am also looking in to having a personal dog trainer work with us when I get there. It is only for his safety. Colorado has a lot of dangerous things in the national forest etc. Deer, Bears, and small animals etc.

If you ever get to Colorado let me know you can stop in and stay with me.

Puppy Kindergarten Graduation

Hi,
He will be 6 months old on April 12th, and he weighs 60 lbs.
We are still having training classes on Friday nights, and he is still in the puppy classes and will go to the adult classes next. So far, he sits, goes down, and almost stays. He has the come command when paying attention. We have tried all collars from choke to halter. We are now trying the gentle leader. Seems to be the best. We still have an issue with jumping. Duke doesn't chew up anything but sometimes he will go for the area rugs but, not really bad. He is almost trained to stop that by now. He likes to cuddle with me in bed at night but, ends up jumping off the bed during the night and sleeping on the bathroom tile and rejoins me in the morning. He is getting better with people but, he doesn't like them to make sudden movements or come at him quickly. Other dogs, well, what can I say, he wants to be top dog and jumps on them to much. Other puppies he plays well with but, he hasn't got it that older dogs don't like him jumping on them. Especially when he is bigger than them. My trainer is working on it with his adult dog. Last class the older dog did play with Duke.

Hi Jolene-
He is a wonderful puppy and has adjusted well to his new home and sure does love his new mommy (me). The only negative is that he is totally not socialized with other people and he is scared, disinterested, distrusting, and jumpy around people. Dogs he is great with.
Since he can't go to training for a few more weeks I guess we have to wait. to work on that.

Hi,
I thought you like to see how he looks at 10-11 wks..
He is doing great, just has a problem of being scared of people, I am working on it. Otherwise, he is so sweet and calm and is easy to handle..
he starts puppy classes this Sunday....
I just love him to death...Thank you so much....
