Hi Jolene,
I attached a picture of Jade and Augusta in the winter. We had given them warm blankets in their dog houses because it was REALLY cold and even though they are Alaskan dogs we were worried about them. You can see what they thought of that. We laughed so hard. At least they were fun toys for them for a while. I will try to send you some better pictures. My husband just built them a mansion of a dog house that they can both fit in. Jade has a hole on one side and Augusta has a hole on the other. Jade tricks Augusta by running in the big hole and out the little hole. Bless Augusta's heart. He is still just not quite as smart as Jade. Augusta (malamute) rarely uses a dog house. He is fine sitting in the rain, sleet, whatever. Jade doesn't mind either but he likes to lounge in stranger places. We used to have smaller plastic dog houses that they destroyed when they were puppies. However, we keep them because Jade likes to sleep in the tops and bottoms. We call them boats. It is so funny because he will lay in one half without a roof. I guess it can be cooler than the ground at times ??? They are great! Augusta is not quite as freaky about things anymore. He used to bark any time we opened the blinds because it was different. He is better about that now. We never decided to get another puppy. (I was looking back at the email that I had sent). They both don't realize their own strength and have never really been around people that we worried too much about it with (small kids or small dogs). We are thinking of starting a family soon so that worries me some. I am worried that they would (without meaning to) be too rough. I hope things are going well for you. I will try to send some recent pic.s soon. They look rough right now though---with the shedding.

Hi Jolene,
I thought I would send some recent pictures of our boys, Augusta (Malamute) and Jade (Husky). They are doing great! Augusta is our little guard dog who is scared of everything and Jade out smarts us every day and keeps us busy. Augusta still can not be without Jade. We actually got some snow this year! We have a beautiful fenced in back yard now with a big shady tree covering part of the yard. The boys have so much freedom and love it! I hope all is well your way!

Hi Jolene,
Ok, here are some pictures. Augusta is not a big fan of getting his picture taken so I have a hard time. Jade is also a camera hog which doesn't help either. They are so silly. Maybe by looking at Jade and Augusta, you can compare their size. I think Jade was around 60 at the vet. Augusta is a lot heavier and bigger, of course. I hope you enjoy..

Hi Jolene,
I finally have pictures for you. Remember, I told you that Augusta is scared of everything? I was shooting pictures through the window and he was barking like crazy while Jade just looked at him like he was stupid. They are so funny.

Hi Jolene,
The puppies are just adorable. I am so glad that you did sell us Augusta. He is a handful though. He has this cute but painful way of making you laugh. He sits in front of you and paws you with the left foot then right, left, right, and so on. I guess it is just his way of saying hello, but his claws hurt so bad. They both know how to sit, shake, and come. Augusta is a little bit of a slow learner when it comes to the shaking. This also makes me think that the reason why he does the pawing is because he has finally caught on by watching Jade.
Do you remember how Augusta's ear would flop? We were hoping that it would stay like that because it is so cute. However, it started standing up for a while and now it is back to flopping. It is the strangest thing. It is a cute feature thougth.
I love to browse through your site and look at the puppy pictures. They are so cute.
Thanks for keeping in touch. They are blessings to us
